Hi all,

I was not able to re-find the Northern Shrike this morning.  I arrived
at Irvine Nature Center at 8:15 and started checking the locations
where it had been reported previously on the list.  Eventually I ran
into Bradley Cernohorsky and together we looked for another hour or
so, eventually leaving around 10:15, having had no luck.  Our
consolation prize was getting great looks at a Northern Harrier
hunting over the northeastern fields.  Bradley also had a Fox Sparrow
in the row of trees separating the field that the gazebo looks out
onto from the field just north of it.  As we were leaving we met a few
other birders who had just arrived.  Some of them had also found Fox
Sparrows in that same row of trees, but had not seen the shrike.
