Subject: [MDOSPREY] "Oregon" type Junco at feeder, Annapolis

Unfortunately, I wasn't there to see it, but my girlfriend Amanda snapped this
icture of an apparent "Oregon" type Junco at our feeder in Annapolis today. It
as seen between 1 and 2 pm, but I did not see it from 3:45 - dusk. I remember a
iscussion of certain intergrade individuals that didn't really fit any of the
lassic subspecies looks, and this may be one of those, but it looked pretty
ood to me; complete very dark hood, buffy sides, and a brownish - grayish back.
n some of the other photos the buffy is more noticeable but the pics are less
lear. It is taken through a window so it a little muted. I was expecting more
rown, but this is variable of course and a quick search online will show photos
ith the range of variability. There were about 10 other Juncos around, only one
f which was a textbook "Slate-colored" the other 9 had brownish backs with dark
treaks and either dark gray or tannish flanks.
Here are 2 photos, the first is the cropped version of the other. Comments
