And a late-ish Blue-headed Vireo.
A little flurry of activity in our front yard yielded up a chickadee with a
nice white stripe in the wing, messy lower edge to the bib, and a nice, slow
voice. Little bugger wouldn't perch next to a Carolina to compare size, but
the chick-a-dee-dee was spot on. To active for a photo, and it may also
have visited out feeders, but could not get a good bead on it.
Meanwhile, a Blue-headed Vireo was a nice surprise, having eluded me so far
this year.
Yes, I live in the woods, not your typical front yard.
