It certainly was "sparrowy" at Lois Y. Green Conservation Park near
the Montgomery County Air Park this morning, November 9.
As usual, the commonest sparrows were SONG and WHITE-THROATED, but
the big surprise was the number (I estimated at least 25) of FIELD,
which were scattered around in several large groups, mostly not
associating with other sparrows. Lots of CHIPPING near the red
barn. Also SWAMP (1) and FOX (2).
A little group of Chickadees had at least one BLACK-CAPPED in it.
Other interesting sightings were single PALM WARBLER (Yellow) and
WINTER WREN. But only 3 Yellow-rumped Warblers all morning.
