I returned from a week out of town, and was very happy to see siskins at our finch feeders. Last year they were absent. Other birds of interest include a fox sparrow eating mixed seed on the ground, and a chickadee that looks good for black-capped. I am directly across the river from the location where stan reported them last week, and was hoping to see one. However, despite a relatively close view I was not connvinced. I think there is a good chance the bird will stay and allow a confirmation, since we have many chickadees at our feeders through the winter season.
