Hi Everyone,

Scott Housten and I birded the Bayside area of Assateague this morning. We have nothing unusual to report but did have our first Assateague FOX SPARROW of the season near the Life of the Marsh parking lot.

Scott also reports that a few CANVASBACKS have recently arrived at the West Ocean City pond.

The water was finally lower this morning, so I visited Castaways after leaving Assateague, and found plenty of birds using the exposed sandbars. Highlights were 4 MARBLED GODWITS and 15 WESTERN WILLETS.

Many thanks to Bill, Mark, and Matt for organizing another great Worcester Rarity Roundup. As you know from the previous reports, a good time was had by all!

Have fun,
