Around noon today, a pale Red-tailed Hawk slowly circling & rising, drifting WNW from the skies above 31st & O Sts.

Late report from Saturday, 11/27 (~3-4:30 p.m.):
  low-flying Sharp-shinned Hawk cruising over Montrose Park and into Dumbarton Oaks;
  pale Red-tail (same as today?) dropping into Dumbarton Oaks Park from the north;
  Black Vulture struggling in the wind over the bottom of Lovers Lane (between Montrose & DO Parks), where I stood watching my favorite find of the day, a non-raptor;
  Winter Wren just north of the small stream that flows through DO Park and into Rock Creek.

Earlier (~10 a.m.), an unidentified flying object at 27th & Q, appeared to be jet-propelled.  My impression was of a very fast, pale (underside) large bird with pointed wings.  I had 3 quick partially obstructed glimpses as it sailed over an apartment building and across Q Street.  Possible Peregrine?
