Hi Everyone,
Jim Brighton and I enjoyed the ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER on Assateague several times throughout the day yesterday. Jim B. picked it out almost as soon as we arrived near the entrance to the Life of the Marsh (LOTM) Trail, and we spotted it at least four times throughout the day, never more than 100 yards from the entrance to Life of the Marsh. When we made a final pass at around 4:00 p.m., the bird was perched peacefully at waist level right along the road, just east of the LOTM parking lot entrance. After a few minutes, it flew back to the parking lot area. The shrike was seen by Ron and others early in the morning, but not later in the day.
Thanks again, Joe! This has been on my most wanted list for a long time.
