The Ash-throated Flycatcher woke up a little after 7 this morning. Jim Stasz
first saw it pop up in the same small patch (roost site?) next to Bayside Dr
by the LOTM parking lot. Ed Boyd, Betsy Bangert, and myself quickly got on
the bird. The bird was eating virginia creeper berries. We continued to see
the bird along the road for a bit and the bird put on a show for Hafner etc
etc.

The Northern Shrike was first spotted a little ways further west down
Bayside Dr by Brighton and Stasz. The bird then flew down the road over our
heads and landed in a tree by LOTM parking area. From there the shrike
headed into the campground, continuing to perch at the top of trees and even
hovering at one point. It eventually disappeared into a thicket after some
myrtles by the bathhouse.

Another interesting sighting were two black widows that Mikey Ludmerding
found while cricket hunting.

Hopefully they will turn up some other good birds but I am on my way back to
Bel Air.
