David Cummings joined me for a walk around Triadelphia Reservoir late this afternoon. The highlight was seeing 30 Long-tailed Ducks flying up and down the reservoir, presumably looking for a spot to land. We saw them from the "pipeline," but later when we checked out the front cove from the Greenbridge boat ramp we didn't see them so apparently they didn't stop. There were 12 other Long-tailed Ducks that were resting on the water. We saw them in groups of 2, 3, and 7 birds. Two drake Common Goldeneyes and a Horned Grebe were also seen north of the pipeline.

American Black Duck - 20 (Montgomery Co. only)
Mallard - 5 (Montgomery Co. only)
Long-tailed Duck - 42
Bufflehead - 23 (Montgomery Co. only)
Common Goldeneye - 2
Hooded Merganser - 2 (Montgomery Co. only)
Horned Grebe - 1
Bald Eagle - 3
Ring-billed Gull - 20
Eastern Bluebird - 2 (Montgomery Co. only)
Dark-eyed Junco - 1 (Montgomery Co. only)
