Today(12/6) at 12:19 PM, Ten regulars at the Waggoner's Gap Hawkwatch were
treated to a sighting of a White/Light Gray Morph Gyrfalcon. It circled up on
the north side and flicked its wings three times before gliding almost out of
sight. It then circled again and gave great views, top and bottom, before
gliding away. It was in sight about 2 minutes and was well seen in good light
by the entire crew. This is the third record for the Gap with the others being
in 1947 and 1986. Talk about avian adrenaline.
