The Schoolhouse Pond Ovenbird was present for a third morning in a row. It was actually the first bird I saw when I reached the paved trail at the rear of the pond this morning. We are developing quite a morning routine: I walked slowly down the path and Ovenbird forages thirty feet or so in front of me along the path and in the cleared area adjacent to the path, moving slowly ahead of me as I go. Also present this morning was 1 male American Wigeon with the group of Shovelers and a small group of gulls gathering on the ice (75 Ring-billed Gulls and 1 Herring Gull).
