I stopped by Fort McHenry and saw a strange-looking Wigeon. I originally chalked it up as a funky-plumaged American Wigeon, but honestly am not sure. The plumage is good for American Wigeon accept for the head, which is mainly brownish-red. I am not sure if it is possibly a hybrid between an American Wigeon and Eurasion Wigeon. Input would be greatly appreciated. I just saw the bird I guess a hour ago, and it was associating with mallards, dabbling near the rocks at the point of the park.
