Hi Dan and everybody: I too went to Carroll County this morning and saw the
RED-NECKED GREBE (around 8:15 AM) at Piney Run. It was visible from the boat
ramp 3/4 of the way across the lake and looking slightly to the right.I also
found one CACKLING GOOSE among the approx. 1500 Canada Geese. The SANDHILL
CRANE was flying lazy cicles over the farm pond and fields as I pulled up to
the location (10:20 AM). In between the 2 I checked Cranberry Reservoir. It
was 95% frozen over. Other than Canada Geese and Mallards there were 36
cRing-billed Gulls, 10 Black Ducks and 3 Ruddy Ducks.

After driving through the snow shower (slipping and slidin) I headed home.
