Nothing too amazing to report, but anytime all three Scoters are
present and so close to shore, it's worthy of a post to MDOSPREY.

I tallied at least two dozen SURF, a dozen or so BLACK and three
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, all actively diving with hundreds of Scaup,
Long-Tails, Buffleheads and a Ruddy just off of the point. Three
Bonapartes Gulls flew past, one being of particular interest. It
appeared smaller, with quicker wing beats. Unfortunately, the only
view I got of the bird was all-too-brief flying towards the bridge
into the driving rain.

Back closer to the entrance gate, at least one REDHEAD was present
among the growing CANVASBACK herd. At this point, it started to really
pour and the visibility quickly deteriorated, so I called it a day.

Good Birding,

Dan
