I see that a couple of folks have reported this bird on eBird already. Has
anyone managed any decent photos? Are you sure it's Selasphorus?

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Female Selasphorus hummingbird in Silver Spring

A female Selasphorus hummingbird was first seen today at 2pm. For anyone in the

area that wants to try for it, the location of the hummingbird feeder is such
that viewing from now until sunset will be good. Feel free to stop by at 9500
Thornhill RD in Silver Spring, walk around back (to left/south side of the
house) and view from the obvious vegetable garden. It's been hawking gnats and

visiting the feeder.

(Note: this is a different location than where you may have visited the
white-winged crossbill a couple years ago, so don't go to that house!)
