While watching carefully for the return of y'day's Cape May Warbler, we were
stunned by the arrival of an adult male PAINTED BUNTING at our (beliveve me,
well-stocked) platform feeder. Pictures were obtained, tho' a perverse shadow
covered the bird. In his company, a Red-br Nuthatch and Ruby-cr Kinglet, but no
Cape May. Yard bird 115 in the 2 years we've been here - not high, but with a
few good sightings.
This was a better b'day present for Jane than any she could imagine.
Determined county listers may contact us off-line, if the bunting stays around.
