Hi -
Short late afternoon visit to Blue Mash -- nice Northern Harrier quartering
the fields along Rt. 108. Blue Mash was very quiet as we walked the trail
counter-clockwise, but towards the buildings, chainlink fence and gravel
road things picked up. Best bird a single BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE in
one of the fenceline trees -- it obliged by calling (how we first located
it)
and then showed its various ID points well before flying off into the
scrub.
Also active was a flock of about 30 Robins and some 20 Cedar
Waxwings. Not one sparrow!
