Morning all,
A brief walk around the yard this morning yielded at least 3 species we missed on our sector of the Bowie CBC yesterday. I have at least 8 Pine Siskins at the thistle feeders, a group of Brown-headed Cowbirds feeding on the ground below the sunflower feeders and a small group of Chipping Sparrows feeding with many juncos in the yard.

Our sector of the Bowie CBC (not sure what number sector, but it was around Cash Lake at Patuxent Research Center) with Mark and Janet Wimer, Alli Sussman, myself and several others had some nice finds. We had about 2 dozen Ring-necked Ducks, 3 Ruddy Ducks, 1 Wilson's Snipe, many Swamp, Song and White-throated Sparrows, 2-3 Red-breasted Nuthatches, perhaps half a dozen Golden-crowned Kinglets (no RC's though), and a good mix of the regular species.

And just now, I looked outside at one of the feeders and there was a Hairy Woodpecker there (only maybe the 3rd occurance here)!
