Loch Raven Glen Ellen Trail

A long slow mid-day trek near the reservoir yielded 28 species.  
Highlight was a simultaneous view of 4 adult Bald Eagles which circled 
briefly and then split off in pairs in opposite directions.   We also 
had 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 20-30 Hooded Mergansers & two foxes, barking 
& one chasing the other through the woods.

We also spoke with one biker who was anxious to pass the word about 
Baltimore City DPW's efforts to shut off all watershed access (Liberty, 
Prettyboy & Loch Raven) to EVERYONE, ---hikers, birders, horse riders & 
bank fisherman, not just bikers.  If anyone is interested, a petition
