Several of us were at Hains Pt. this morning searching for the
Black-capped Chickadee(s) that Mike Bowen found yesterday. No luck on
finding any chickadees of any type, at least as of 11:00am, but other
good birds were found, including:
- MERLIN - 2 birds seen about halfway down the golf course first thing
in the morning
- PEREGRINE - 2 birds on the RR bridge over the Potomac first thing in
the morning
- GLAUCOUS GULL - 1 1st cycle bird on the ice in Washington Channel,
found by Gail & Barry.
- PINTAIL - Ottavio, John Hubbell & I found a female in the Channel
- PINE WARBLER - we also refound this bird working the trees between the
Maintenance Road and the tip
