While doing some pre-work birding this morning at Hillsmere Shores beach
in Annapolis, I found two banded - actually, collared - Tundra Swans
among the 70 or so just off shore. One band, in yellow writing on a blue
collar, read "T239." The other I could not get a look at. ... Am going
to try to report these via USF&WS website, unless anyone has better
suggestion? 

 

Also in evidence were 4 Canvasback. At both Hillsmere and Bay Ridge,
most of the waterfowl were well off shore, apparently enjoying the
decent weather and calm seas.
