We also saw this bird at around 12:20 p.m. today, January 6. In the
exact same place as has been reported many times before -- along a
ditch with saplings in the field to the west of the intersection of
Presquile Rd. and Todds Corner Rd., just a little west of the main
entrance to Pickering Creek Audubon Center.

There were no birders around when we saw it, nor for the next hour we
stayed in the Pickering Creek area.

Thanks to Joe Hanfman of Howard County, who gave me precise
instructions on where to see this bird when I called him on his cell
phone on Tuesday, January 4 -- on which day we missed it
completely! Fortunately we had another opportunity to take a look
when we returned from the coast midday on Thursday. And thanks to
Les Roslund, who continues to patrol Talbot County to ensure that
those of us in the rest of the state have an opportunity to see some
great "Talbot birds."

We ran into a small group of American Tree Sparrows in the same
general area, in the short bushes along the wetlands of Pickering Creek.
