Bradley Cernohorsky and I had the HARLEQUIN DUCK at Fort Armistead this morning from shortly before 8 am until we left at 9:30. As soon as we got out of the car it was seen within a few feet of the shore to the left of the wooden pier in the company of some RUDDY DUCKs. It then swam a short distance to the left to consort with some BUFFLEHEAD. It later swam back toward and under the wooden pier to eventually leave Baltimore City and enter Anne Arundel County once under the concrete pier to the right. There it was met by a small raft of CANVASBACK.

Matt Hafner and Kevin (sorry, I don't know your last name) arrived as we were leaving.

I am sorry you didn't see it Kurt. But I do want to thank you for entertaining and educating us last night at the Baltimore Bird Club's annual potluck dinner. You have piqued my interest about southwestern Mexico and have me wanting to return to Central America for a little birding adventure.
