I got into Upper Marlboro around 10:15 today and there was already a large flock of gulls on the ice of Schoolhouse Pond. These included approximately 600 Ring-billed Gulls, 12 Herring Gulls, and 1 1st winter Lesser Black-backed Gull. Hopefully, they'll hang around today and continue to build in numbers. It seems like the best gulls turn up at Schoolhouse Pond when its cold, snowy and icy, so lunchtime could be interesting....
