For anyone who hasn't already heard:

The boardwalk at Piscataway Park (from Bryan Point Rd) in PG county is 
inaccessible. The boardwalk is being completely rebuilt and is 
off-limits for safety reasons until the rebuild is done at the end of 
April. The contractors have already been forced to expand the fence 
barrier because hard-headed people were ducking around anyhow. They are 
replacing pilings, decking, etc.. Going out there is a good way to get 
killed. You also cannot access the boardwalk through the side-trail from 
the pool and Hard Bargain Farm is, of course, private property.

If you'd really like to see the river from that location you can come 
along on the Jan. 30th SMAS/ANS walk. Info is on the Southern Maryland 
Audubon Society website (www.somdaudubon.org - click Monthly Activities 
--> Field Trips).
