Took a late morning walk around Greenbury Point in Annapolis today and although it was pretty quiet, Amanda and I chanced into some nice winter birds including 2 Fox Sparrows, 2 Peregrine Falcons, a Brown Thrasher, a Hermit Thrush, and 3 Gray Catbirds. The Thrasher and Catbirds were all in the same bush eating Oriental Biittersweet berries. A few Goldeneye around, about 100 Canvasbacks, about 50 Greater and Lesser Scaup, a similar number of Buffleheads and about half a dozen Hooded Mergansers. Only other sparows seen were White-throated (probably about 100) and Song Sparrows.

At about 1:30 pm, I checked the spot at the end of Chesapeake Ave. where I saw the Harlequin Duck yesterday and Dan saw it this morning but all I saw was a few Buffleheads and a couple Ruddy Ducks. Dan got a few pictures of the bird this morning if anyone is interested.

Good Birding,
