Talbot Bird Club's first outing in 2011 to Caroline and Queen Annes Counties

  On Sunday 1 - 15- 11   a hardy bunch of Talbot County Bird Club Members  set off on the first outting of 2011 led by Danny Poet  .  We went to the farm fields  near Ridgely Maryland on a search for Lapland Longspurs and other field birds  . No LONGSPURS could be located however . But did locate 36 species.All birds in Caroline County unless I say otherwise.  Birds  seen or heard were  below .

Afterward  three  of us went to Kent Island at the  Hemingways location   near  the base of the Bay Bridge to look for the Iceland Gull. It provided very  nice and even close views  at times .
