	Gene and Marcia,
I figure you've already seen this posting (or the
original report Dan cites), but wanted to add that,
should this all come to pass, it certainly is a
tribute to the years of work you've put in ~
not only on Hart-Miller, but in helping the Board
(whatever it's official title) see that such wildlife
preserves are a viable and valuable option.

MOS & the rest of the state owe you a great
	debt of gratitude.

	Leo

PS by chance I was reading the ABA Guide to
the Texas Coast last night and was impressed
with its description of Connie (and Jack) Hagar
who settled into Rockport many years ago,
fell in love with its waterfowl and began
submitting data on what she saw -
data that were scoffed at by the "experts"
both as being from an unheralded backwater
	 place and for her gender.
She persisted, patiently and carefully and
gradually helped turn that place and the
whole Texas Gulf Coast into the birding
	mecca which it is today.

	Nice company, Gene.
