I know several people who tried Monday afternoon (me included) and
some other times and the bird was a no-show. ;-( Not sure how often
it is still being seen since I see no eBird reports from today or
yesterday.

I'm surprised though that 38 eBird reports is a small number!
Certainly suggests eBird is alive and well in Maryland!

I'd also like to add my two cents on the subject of twitching. I
think if people enjoy twitching, by all means try for the bird. But,
IMO, there's no real benefit to the birds or science from twitching,
and it does burn a lot of gas, so if twitching is not your thing, I
think people should feel free to not chase rarities, and be happy the
bird is there without having to see it personally. Twitching in some
places such as Britain has become almost too popular, with hundreds of
birders showing up at the same time for some rarities.

Good birding!
