All,
The rough-legged hawk was seen briefly this morning sometime around 11:15 from the fieldcrest / 108 site. The drive from 108 to the landfill was plowed but the parking area was not. There was some space ( a cars worth) to back up next to a snow pile well out of the way of any potential passers by to the landfill (though there were none the entire time I was there), I also did not venture out of eyesight. Went by blue mash trail entrance along zion rd, the initial entry to the lot has been half-way plowed but the actual lot had not gotten attention. Hopefully, all will melt soon. Tons and tons of roadside white-throated sparrows/juncos along zion rd, and a nice group of 20 horned larks along damascus rd 2 miles south of 108. Forgive the hurried post,
Jared Fisher
