Hi Folks,

I went to Swan Creek this afternoon, but could only stay 40 minutes because
they were closing early. Only had time to scan the north dredge cell which
had about 500 gulls. No interesting gulls, but on the embankments I tallied
two HORNED LARKs and eleven SNOW BUNTINGs. The PEREGRINE FALCON was perched
on its favorite spot on the Key Bridge. Since the place closed early I
headed over to Fort Armistead, and almost immediately saw the HARLEQUIN DUCK
with a score of Canvasbacks near the concrete pier in Anne Arundel waters.

On Tuesday, 25 Jan, while enroute to Sandy Point at about 3:30 in the
afternoon I was driving on Hwy 32, and somewhere between Odenton and the
Burns Crossing exit in AA Co. a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK flew over the highway. It
was a light-phased adult, heading west. It was enroute somewhere, and not
hovering. The traffic situation kept me from pulling over to get some
digiscopes, though it was moving fast enough that I would not have seen much
anyway. I think this is only my second Rough-leg on the western shore, the
other having been in Charles Co. many years ago. I haven't chased the one
at Blue Mash.
