Hi Colin,

Congratulations on your barred owl and in your own yard. WOW!!!!

After Patty Craig spending the morning at my home she
decided to take a run to St George's Island in St Mary's
county and within a few minutes I got a call from her.
I teased that she missed my company already and she laughed, she had
spotted a barred owl and knowing I needed one she called. I
then raced to the location and there it was sitting on a line in the snow
with a beautiful pine tree background. I was lucky enough to get quite a
few pictures and then thanked God for blessing me once again and thanked
Patty for her keen eyes and kind heart. What a great day for You Colin and
Me.
Congrats again!!!!!

Happy Friday All,

A barred owl was sitting in our back yard this morning. I initially
noticed him (or her) sitting on a tree branch. It flew briefly to a
another branch in a nearby tree and was still sitting there when I
left for work. A few blue jays were harassing but it didn't seem to
mind. This is our first sighting for the back yard, so it will be
interesting to see if it reappears.

Good birding,
