A slow birding day leads to this.

I had heard the GEICO radio commercial several times ... the one where they 
play the call of the Red-tailed Hawk and call it a screaming Bald Eagle ... 
but this afternoon I was near my computer.  I went to the GEICO web site and 
drafted what I thought was a witty, insightful, thoughtful, etc., email 
pointing out that 20 million bird watchers cringe or go into a screaming, 
ranting fit while frothing at the mouth whenever they hear the Red-tailed 
Hawk call miss-represented as a Bald Eagle call.

In less than 30 minutes, a GEICO rep responded with the response copied 
below.  Gotta' give them credit for responding and I am glad that they 
"support the first amendment rights of our policyholders."  Do you think it 
was a canned response?  You betcha!
