One first cycle Iceland Gull and one presumed Nelson's Gull (Glaucous
Gull X Herring Gull hybrid - I think first cycle because of iris color
but distance made it difficult) joined the mass of gulls at Jug Bay this
afternoon. When I first arrived at Jackson Landing around 3:30, the
gulls were fairly close to the Prince George's shoreline, but as the
tide came in, the little remaining ice was soon covered and the gulls
moved further away, next to the Anne Arundel shoreline. I didn't get
much time to estimate the size of the flock, but there were at least
1,000 Herring Gulls and 500 Ring-billed Gulls. At least three Lesser
Black-backeds were also present (1 ad., 2 1cy.). I've posted a couple
