Hi all,

Decided to try Great Falls and trek along the river trail for a short bit this afternoon.
Good numbers of Canada Geese on the Potomac River, and I also spotted the Horned Grebe (Thanks, Sally!).  Ring-necked Ducks were the most numerous of the ducks.
One Great Blue Heron flew overhead to the rookery on the far side, with a stick in its beak.
Bald Eagles were present with two in a tall tree, and later an adult chasing another subadult out of the area.
