Hi All,

I was out birding last wednesday at the small Fort Toten woods (the windy day).  Anyhow, there were very few birds, but I did notice a Red-tail couple flying around.  One of the birds was carrying a two foot long stick and  flying from tree to tree with it.

Considering all the squirels around in this upper NE DC neighborhood, the young (if they really are nesting) will have a nice high protien diet.

P.S. how common are nesting records for red-tails in DC - I assume pretty common?
