Hi All,

I was out birding last wednesday at the small Fort Toten woods (the windy day). Anyhow, there were very few birds, but I did notice a Red-tail couple flying around. One of the birds was carrying a two foot long stickandflying from tree to tree with it.

Considering all the squirels around in this upper NE DC neighborhood, the young (if they really are nesting) will have a nice high protien diet.

P.S. how common are nesting records for red-tails in DC - I assume pretty common?
