Hi all,

The Harlequin Duck was present this morning at Fort Armistead. I arrived
around 9:30 and when I reached the bottom of the stairs from the parking
lot, I saw the duck close to shore. Unfortunately it flew immediately toward
AA County. I walked over to the fishing pier but couldn't relocate it. After
about 45 minutes, I spotted it in front of the pier. It swam swiftly across
my field of view, frequently diving, then made its way around the point
toward the bridge and disappeared.

Other ducks present were 9 Bufflehead, and 1 Greater Scaup that made a quick
exit upon my arrival.
