I birded Hughes Hollow late this morning and had a few interesting sightings. The most surprising was a single Common Redpoll at the south end of the main dike. Also at the south end was a very brightly plumaged pair of Eastern Bluebirds and a pair of Winter Wrens. I had my FOY Eastern Phoebe at the north end of the dike. I also got good looks as several of the resident Red-headed Woodpeckers.
