After seeing Mike Burchett's post earlier (thanks Mike), I took off for Port Deposit and got there just before 6PM, but just after the sun had dropped out of sight. If I had been fifteen minutes earlier I would have had great light and a chance to get some really nice shots of this not-so-bashful bird. He was in pretty close to land, just to the right of Marina Park as you come into Port Deposit. He's coming into breeding plumage and you can get a really nice look at him from the parking lot of Marina Park with binoculars if he stays put.
