Hi all,

Finally decided to go up to 'Balmer' and see the Harlequin Duck spending the winter there; it took a few minutes to find to, but it appeared under the pier closest to AA county.
After foraging for 10 minutes, it got spooked and flew to parts unknown.
I took out some crackers to eat for lunch, and was soon mobbed (I mean mobbed!)
by many Ring billed gulls and Rock Pigeons. I raise pigeons, so this was enjoyable.  They flew around my feet and I relented, and gave them the rest. Once on the pier, I saw someone come up with bread, so these birds eat pretty good. Here's other species in area:

Harelquin Duck  1
Great Black backed Gull -several
Bufflehead -way out in bay
1 possible Lesser black back gull- color looked right-on water didn't see feet.
Herring Gull- several-
Ring billed Gulls  abundant
Song Sparrrow  2
Northern Mockingbird  1
Fish Crows  10
Rock Pigeons- many
