On my walk this morning into Susquehanna State
Park from my house, I was never out of earshot of
Canada Geese all heading in a northerly direction.
There must have been thousands. I also saw 4
flocks of Tundra Swans that totaled about 500
birds. This was between 0745 and 0845 this morning.

The eagle looked down on the river below
And he wrapped his wings round him and he fell
like a stone
And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
And he shuddered as the world turned from silver
to blue
