All,

Following up on Jason Berry's reports of Red-Necked Grebes in the
Anacostia yesterday afternoon, I went down to the river to look for them
myself. I found one RED-NECKED GREBE this morning in the Potomac about 500
yards north of the 14th St bridge on the Virginia side of the river. Also
seen was a Horned Grebe molting to alternate plumage at Hains Point on the
river side of the island and a Merlin mixing it up with American Crows in
the tress above the large rest rooms.
