Maren Gimpel and I spend a good part of the day cruising around boat landings
and other bay access points on Kent Island. We had Surf Scoters at several stops
including Matapeake Beach, Romancoke Wharf County Park and Ferry Point County
Park, one Black Scoter was viewed from Matapeake Beach and two White-winged
Scoters were seen at Ferry Point County Park looking north. All other expected
bay waterfowl were seen including one nice looking Horned Grebe approaching
breeding plumage. A large raft of Canvasbacks ~1800 were viewed from CBEC
(Horsehead) looking north into Marshy Creek.  A full list of our sighting will
be submitted to eBird.
