My last stop yesterday, at about 5:00, was at LM Stevens Park in
Poolesville (in my second attempt to find the Greater White-fronted
Goose). At the sewage treatment pond there was a domestic hybrid
goose with a small group of Canada Geese. This bird was mostly white,
with some light brown streaking in the wing feathers, and had a
pinkish-orange bill and orange feet and legs. I thought I would
mention it, since from a distance and in a flock of other geese, it
could be mistaken for a Snow Goose. Also present were a drake
American Wigeon and a Pied-billed Grebe. I did not see any geese in
the nearby fields along Route 107.
