I'm traveling quite a bit this spring to the Midwest and to California, and planning to bird some on my spare time.  However, my tripod is a massive 11 lb Gitzo pre-carbon fiber made for large lenses.  Does anyone have a spare small to mid-size tripod or "beater" backup pod that I could borrow for a few weeks?  Happy to barter in exchange.
