The Lake today

The lake across the road doesn't have a name that I know of so "The Lake"
will have to do. Since this report is coming to you live from Aspen Run,
maybe it might be Aspen Run Lake. Yes, I know - a lot of folks are going to
question the 'live' part since it is coming from me but since I'm still
walking around, I will allege that I am alive.

At any rate, a small but good selection of ducks today. Both WOODIES and
HOODIES are present. Both are "every year" birds. However, as I stated the
other day, the COMMON MERGANSER is not an every year bird and neither is the
GADWALL. Both are fairly frequent, but not regulars. That's it. Nice group.

And for those of you without maps. Aspen Run is somewhere about halfway
between Westminster and Hampstead in northern Carroll County. Not sure of
the population but it's definitely under a billion. I hope. We don't even
have a gas station out here.
