After work this evening, I drove to the Pigtail Branch (Green Bridge Rd)
in Howard County to look for waterfowl. I started walking down the path
but had forgotten how far it was to the main body of the reservoir, so I
got lazy and just stopped at the first point and scanned the reservoir
from a distance, waiting for ducks to swim by my scope view. I wasn't
disappointed as there was a good amount of diversity, most notably: one
Common Goldeneye, four Horned Grebes, one Red-breasted Merganser, and
four Lesser Scaup.
