The water level at Oxbow Lake is down about 1 foot after last week's rain storms leaving mud flats for Rusty Blackbirds, Wilson's Snipe, and shorebirds. Yesterday Jay Sheppard and I had close-up looks at a male and female Rusty Blackbird near the "fishing hole" along the southeastern shoreline heading towards Eagle's Head Cove. If you don't have a map with these landmarks on it and wold like one, just email me offline.
Also yesterday a flock of about 15 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 1 Pine Warber (female), and an Eastern Towhee.
