I went today 3/20, in part to see a presentation on Great Horned Owls by Judy Wink who is the director of CBEC and was there from about 11:30 to 3. Differences with Danny Poet's list were:

Pine Warblers, were quite numerous, could be heard in the small plots of pines along the entrance road and in the larger ones near the Visitor's Center. I had good views of a few and not so good photos of one of them;

Brown-headed nuthatches, in the same pine woods as the Pine Warblers;

Swamp and Chipping sparrow, one of each

Great Blue Herons, 2 seen and many heard from the rookeries;

Hermit Thrushes, 2 in one of the small woods along the road.;

Ospreys, 2 perched along the shore and mating, pointed out by Judy W. when returning from viewing the Great Horned Owl on its nest; the Owlets were not visible; the nest is quite high.

It was very birdy around noon. Or, more correctly, the red-winged blackbirds were extremely loud, and small flocks of other birds were numerous, giving a feeling of great activity.

Great day to be out. Happy birding!

It was quite a busy place today lots of folks out enjoying the nice but coolish morning . I could not find anything rare or nor any Brown headed Nuthatch my main reason for stopping by today . Some nice waterfowl around but numbers dropping off except Ruddy Ducks they have been almost as scarce as hen's teeth this winter. Today I had more than I have seen all winter Bird list below
